The detective part is most of the story with action scenes along the way. The mystery is not obvious, so several theories of whodunnit and why occurred to me at different points.
She and the other main characters are interesting and complex, not 2D and stupid, so that adults can actually enjoy the story. There is no graphic sex, blood and guts, and almost no romance aspect -thankfully on all 3 counts as those are different generas. Flashbacks to a previous event occur and help to add body to the story and characters but you don't need to have read whatever book that is from, if there actually is one.
It did not seem like catch-up stuff but there to add depth to the present.
I liked the narration. A few of the nonhuman voices are a little strange but they are dwarves and other creatures so I would have expected this and it seemed right to me. By: Marsheila Rockwell.
Narrated by: Saskia Maarleveld. Series: Eberron Unlimited , Book 1. Maybe if enough people ask for it, they'll do it. BTW, if you do have a Kindle version of any of my books Legacy of Wolves had been re-released as an ebook now, too , I can sign them now using Kindlegraph. Oh, and it's Marsh-E-I-la.
Might make it easier to find my stuff. Question, how exactly is "The world of Dungeons and Dragons Online" different to Eberron, and why are you so scared of the latter term?
Because more people know about Dungeons and Dragons Online than know about Eberron. Better marketing. We aren't in canon Eberron. The Stormreach we know is not what is found in the PnP sourcebooks. Downloaded the nook version, perfect timing, I am going on vacation Saturday and it will help me get through DDO withdrawals :.
The Shard Axe
Marsheila, is there any chance you might do a contest of sorts in-game someday wherein the winner s' character gets featured in your next DDO novel? I think everyone else answered this pretty well. Regards, Marcy. Downloaded the nook version, perfect timing, I am going on vacation Saturday and it will help me get through DDO withdrawals : Enjoy your vacation, and your reading! Please come back and tell us how you liked it! Er, the book, that is.

Though I guess you could tell us about your vacation, too, if you wanted. Picked it up for my kindle and loving it. Well done Sabira. Thanks so much! So glad you're enjoying it! I'm definitely amenable, though! Buy them copies for Christmas! Buy one for your laptop, your phone, AND your ereader!
See a Problem?
No, seriously, the best thing readers can do to make sure there's another book, aside from buying the other two, is to post a review somewhere. Word of mouth is like gold for writers - only without the encumbrance penalty, heh. However, there is another potential workaround.
One of my fans in Spain was able to get the book on his Sony Reader by entering a previous US address of his. Just throwing it out there to those of you outside the US who want a copy of the book and can't get it yet. You're not hurting WotC or Turbine when you do that, you're hurting me and the chances of seeing any more DDO books not just from me - from anyone.
