It only takes a minute to create happiness like this!
Bookmark Lists 10, miles or more According to the staff the AAT programme was well received and positive. Florence Nightingale was one of the first well-known healthcare professionals to observe the positive influences of small animals on her chronically ill patients.
This was as early as Since then the benefits from exposure to AAT, both psychological and physical have been well documented. However, there is little clinical evidence that supports the impact AAT has on patients in the long term. The use of furrier activity has become widespread in hospital waiting rooms, assistance with physical therapy, to help patients cope with trauma, mental health disorders, support to prisoner health and comfort in disaster areas. University libraries globally have been experimenting with therapy dogs as a means to engage students and provide a more supportive environment during exam time.
Some of the qualitative feedback from students indicated expressions of happiness, relaxation, a connection with the dogs. With some students interactions with pets was a new experience. We are approaching a new academic year in January Attending university is stressful and, consequently, mental and emotional support systems play a crucial role in fostering student well-being. Not only do students have considerable academic pressures to cope with, but they are often living away from home for the first time and integrating into new social groups.
For our newly registered students, many will have to learn to cope with leaving home and living in residences. Mumma is currently in care with 3 other cats, 2 of which are her babies now 7 months old and a small cat friendly dog. She's quite fond of her doggie housemate and will often smooch with her. She's not overly keen to share her home with other cats but is very bonded to her son, Possum.
They sleep together, play together and enjoy each others company. This is her safe place Mumma also likes to keep all 4 paws on the ground not a fan of being picked up and will retreat to her little hideaway when strangers come to visit.
Paws for a Moment: About Paws for a Moment
She would be best suited to living with adults only, no children, unless quiet teenagers. She is very driven to hunt when it comes to pocket pets, particularly birds, so should be housed indoors only or enclosed outdoor area. Mumma has had all her vet work done and although she's probably not ready to meet you, she will in time, learn to love you.
Khaleesi is a very petite cat, although she is a quiet girl noise and other pets dont bother her. She likes to play with her toys but is very gentle in doing so. She came into care with her brother Oscar from a different litter but can be separated. Log in. It only takes a minute to create happiness like this! Pay Pal. Donate now Want to donate another way?
